K1 visa in Juarez, blue slip 221(g) with passport return. Now the status is AP

Hi Guys!

im doing k1 visa for my fiancee from TJ. Interview went smooth with no problem, nor additional documents need. The CO came out and gave my Fiancee blue slip and returned her passport. I check the status and it been Administrative Processing right after her interview. 

No additional documents need. I dont really know why they didnt approve, while there was absolutely no reason to refuse. Anyone of you here is on the same boat. 

The interview was on Aug 1,2019

AP is normal part of the process. How long it takes depends on what exactly needs to be done still.

The fact that they didn't take the passport at the time usually implies they don't expect to issue the visa in the very near future, but it's certainly not definitive either. Once AP clears, if they determine they are eligible for the visa, then they will request the passport at that time.

I been trying to find a reason for them to refuse but NONE. 

Kinda feel down when you expecting too much.

A 221(g) is a "soft" refusal. It just means they were unable to determine eligibility at the time, and is the most common refusal for an immigant or K-1 visa. it doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong...it could be due to background checks, verification of documents, etc.

If he has a fairly common name, that could be another reason for the background checks not being completed.

Both of us has clean record. Like i said, dont see any of the reason. 

Been together more than 5 years and kids. Everything is great just the part of being together in the State is stuck

Just called the number that is on the blue slip. No update. Its been 10 days since the interview day

Quick update,  been in AP since Sept 20th and have called a few times with no new info. So the wait continues. Anyone else from Juarez consulate waiting for AP to clear up?
