Hey all, we just got our interview date and I want to make sure I have this right. It says we need to bring I-693 and I-864 "unless already submitted." I'm going to update the I-864 just because it's been a year, but the I-693 is the confusing one. That didn't have to be submitted when we applied for AOS because it had been within a year of getting the medical and vaccination report (DS-3025) for the visa. I'm looking at the I-693 now and I've actually never seen it until now, which means we never filled it out, or never had to? Is the DS-3025 in place of the I-693 in this case or am I missing something major?

Look at the I693 instructions and read the exception for k visas

YMMV

Yes the DS-3025 (vaccination report) is in place of the I-693 for K1 visa filers. As long as the medical was done within one year of when you FILED for AOS then you should be fine. Like above said - read the I693 instructions with exceptions for K visas, that's what I did and it put my mind at ease.

We just had my husband's AOS interview a couple of weeks ago. We brought a copy of the DS-3025 that the medical office had given to him during his K1 process. The immigration officer actually asked him for a copy of the vaccination sheet, but then said nevermind as he was able to find it in the file. So they SHOULD have everything from the K1 medical already in the file but make sure you bring copies of the DS-3025 just in case.

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man.... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."
