I received a text message saying that uscis mailed me a rfe for more evidence. I am not sure yet what they ask me. Anyone received one recently. I am a little disappointed. Can someone also tell me what commonly requested by uscis for k1. I'll greatly appreciated y'all help.

It depends what you sent and didn’t send in your packet , you wouldn’t know what they are asking for till you get the letter and they tell you the specifics of what they need....is there something you didn’t put in your packet that was required ?

They won't release the contents of the letter by phone. You have to wait for it to arrive.

Only 2 weeks...? They give you much longer than that. How would you even know the due date before it arrives?

That's likely the date to contact them if you don't receive it (in case it gets lost).

Edit: Check it to be sure, though. Because RFEs are usually outstanding for up to close to 3 months. We got one on 3/10 and the response was due 6/2.

First off receiving an RFE means your file is in the last stages prior to the additional evidence their requesting to an approval.  Normal reply to an RFE is approximately 30 days. There is a way to get a copy faxed to you. Here is how.

Call USCIS. Tell them you would like a copy of the RFE faxed to you because you are out of the country and you have no way of retrieving your mail. A tier 2 is the only one that has access to those systems. They can also read it to you (most will do this but some don't) and let you know what they are requesting.  Be prepared with a fax number.

Good luck.

I don't believe that's the case for an I-129F: https://www.uscis.gov/ilink/docView/AFM/HTML/AFM/0-0-0-1/0-0-0-26573/0-0-0-28582.html

It should be 84 days + 3 days since sent by mail.

I hadn't heard about the T2 reading it over the phone (security issue IMO), but the fax idea is a great for those who are abroad. 👍
