My kids may be following to join me. They had their medicals done in April 2019, and I moved to the US first in June.

How long are their medicals valid for?

Ive read one  year from having them done, but on the .gov site I read 6 months?!

K-2* (K-3 is an (obsolete) NIV for the spouse of a USC)

Medicals are valid for up to 6 months (some conditions can make this less). The validity period of the visa is constrained by that of the medical.

Do I need to get the interview done by the end of 6 months, or do they need to land in the US by the end of 6 months?

Enter on the visa, since the visa will expire at the same time as the medical.

6 months for the medical in regards to the visa validity.   1 year in regards to filing AOS once in the USA.

Visa issued and the kids IN the USA.   Visa validity will be tied to the medical, with up to 6 months of validity, clear POE before the expiration date on the visa.
