We did the same thing, brought our entire K1 file (copy) as well as anything updated since we filed the AOS.  Heck, when my wife had her N400 interview, we brought a copy of each submission up to then (K1, AOS, ROC and N400).

I am glad your interview went well, and hopefully you see an approval soon.  When Katya had her AOS interview, we had the same outcome, no decision at the end, but positive.  She got her approval three days later.

Good Luck!

Omg!!!! My status just changed. Thanks for your kind words!!!!

The EAD card is invalidated once permanent residence status is granted.  That means if he gets approved on the spot USCIS might keep his card.  In that case he could ask to get his passport stamped.  If they don't make a decision right away he can keep his EAD card.  Either way he will remain legally authorized to work during the whole time (unless they deny his Greencard).

Thanks for this info!!

I’m out of the interview with questions answered:)

so the advance parole and AP is valid until the status changes to approved. After that, you’re officially a resident and don’t need your AP even if you haven’t received the card in hand yet (you’re approved and it’s underway).

as far as traveling, if by the time you live the country the status changes to approved but you don’t have a card in hand, they said to set up infopass and get passport stamped. If it doesn’t change to approved yet, AP card is valid for traveling.

Thank you for this info!!
