Hi so I just finally received a case update from NVC (after waiting 4 weeks from them not accepting our first round of documents because they weren’t facing the right way)

They told me I need to show proof of me and my joint sponsors incomes and assets. But what really made my nerves crazy was this message.

Has this His happened to anyone else and it was okay? I’m confused as to why they would even say that knowing that I have a joint sponsor already?? I’m so anxious now.

This is a stock standard response used anytime there is anything amiss with AOS documentation.

What evidence have you already sent to NVC to support both yours and the joint sponsors 864? Even though you don’t meet the requirements you do still need to provide tax transcript for last year

I was wondering about the Affidavit of Support you filed- Did you fill one out for yourself even though you did not meet the income requirements and then fill out a separate Affidavit of support for the joint sponsor or did you use one form? I am confused since I do not meet the income requirements but read on the US Travel Docs website that a spouse MUST be the sponsor even if they need to have a joint sponsor.

Yes I did file one for myself because when I read the instructions it seemed like I was supposed to fill one out too even though I needed a sponsor. So me and my joint sponsor filled one out.
