Surrendering PR status?

My wife completed her AOS and received her card back in January. In May we moved back to her home country. I understand she loses status after ~6 months out of the country. Is there anything we need to do as far as cancellation immigration status? Or if we do nothing will it just expire and that's that?

Submit I-407 to nearest international USCIS office. If you are in Thailand, it's the Bangkok office: https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/international-offices/thailand-uscis-bangkok-field-office

My previous post became outdated within 5 days; my bad: https://www.uscis.gov/news/alerts/uscis-will-no-longer-accept-i-407-international-field-offices

"Beginning July 1... Individuals who wish to voluntarily record abandonment of their lawful permanent resident (LPR) status must submit Form I-407 via mail to: USCIS Eastern Forms Center"
