So hubby became a citizen yesterday. We are supposed to go to the social security office and update his record now. We haven't updated anything on his card since actually obtaining it when he came on a Fiancé visa that has the restriction notation on.

I then read in another thread Social Security requires you to update each time your status changes. I never knew that. We only know to do this because they told us at the ceremony and it's listed as one of the things to do in the packet he got at his ceremony.

Will anything happen since we have never updated his record until now?
