I called this number (703-520-2235) for the embassy which I know is for scheduling interview dates, but will it take you to the same office as the two local numbers that is listed on the status page to call if the visa hasn't been issued within 10 days of the interview?

There is nothing that states the visa is to be issued within 10 days of the interview.

Normally a visa package is delivered within 10 days (business) of ISSUED .. but until issued status .. which can be 3 days or 3 months you have to be patient

I agree with above statement. My interview was 22 of may, nothing was asked from me during or after the interview, I see updates online which changed twice last week but still on ready status, trust me it will drive you crazy if you expect it sooner than minimum 3 weeks. Good luck

I know it doesn't state that it will be issued within 10 days but on the status page when it shows in AP it says to call after 10 days of the interview. The way its written is confusing and I only mentioned it to help clarify what phone numbers I'm referring to.  My question is does that american number I called take me to the same place as if I was calling either of those two local numbers?

The reason I called them today is because the status page is down so i called them to check the status and the CSR said its still in AP but also said since it's been over two weeks since our 221g and replacement CENOMAR was submitted that she was going to create a case number and send it to the embassy and she said that they would be emailing us back.

You got a 221g .. that can EASILY had 2 weeks to the wait.

Just be patient.      Keeping checking CEAC (ya I know, it is still functioning correctly)

What date was your interview?

The interview was May 30th. I was just trying to check the status for today. I'm the patient one by my fiance is not, especially since her friend was approved and already in the U.S. and had an interview at the same time as my fiance.

With the 221g in the mix (and two holidays) you are not out of wack at all.    As for comparing your progress to another person's .. apples and oranges.

In regards to your earlier question, those phone numbers are to a call center .. and those are the only number for calling the IVU, they will pass information on if needed but after that ... nix.
