Illegible Philippine birth certificate rejected by NVC

Nick, it turned out they rejected the copy of the birth certificate because the government official missed a meaningless corner of it when creating the copy. They accepted a new copy of the (still completely illegible) birth certificate. We also submitted that typed up thing along with it, just to be safe. Interview date was in October but St Luke's is taking their time with their part, so the interview was postponed til December.

That's (birth certificate) good to hear!

What's going on with St. Luke's, if I may ask? My fiancé will be going her medical soon. Are there backlogs?

No backlog at SLEC.  Most likely delay could be SPUTUM

Also -

Complete the online registration before the medical and print out a copy, this will save time the 1st day.   PLUS ...  show up for the medical an hour or two after SLEC opens, saves a lot of standing around and still easily complete day one.

She plans to be there around 9. Is that okay?

Have you heard about recent SLEC experiences? If the hand carry really isn't a thing anymore?

9 should be just fine, the crowd clears and it is smooth sailing through check-in.

Last few I have chatted with did not hand carry the medical file.   There could be extenuating circumstances for this, please report back your result on this.  Thanks
