Hey guys, 

I am wondering what is going on with the AP times. In the timelines I see a lot of mixed months for Chicago National Office. Between Oct ‘18 - Feb ‘19 and even a March ‘19. 

 

I am a early March filer and have an event that I will need to attend in mid-August that’s overseas. Do you think I will receive the AP by then?

They tried a new thing just recently where they forgot about a tonne of filers in September and October and jumped ahead to make their average look better?

 

And then a few weeks ago they increased processing times for AP from 5 to 7 months to 6 to 8. (EAD also jumped to 6.5 to 8.5 from 5 to 7).

 

My guess is that it will at least take 6. So many ppl are having to make service enquiries too for being out of normal processing times so dont be surprised if it take 8.5 either to get the Combo Card.

 

In short: they are behind, tried to hide it, but it only screwed them up more.

We filed in November and didn't get AP at all. We got our Green Card interview before AP or EAD. They are soooooo behind right now. As crappy as it is, I would say try not to plan anything you have to be out of the country for. I know there are some other November filers who have missed weddings and funerals back home :(
