Can married daughter of US citizen, waiting for F3 visa, attend the visa interview at US consulate without her husband?

The principal applicant shall bring her 3 children with her. She and her husband seperated more than a decade ago but never went through divorce etc. Will it have a huge effect on their Visa processing?

It’s fine, he doesn’t fill in a ds260 and doesn’t immigrate. She may need his permission to take the children before they will be granted immigrant visas, though, if they are under 18.

and for ease of her new life she should probably get the legal divorce dealt with.

She will need the OK from the Father obviously.
