Scheduling Interview

So before my fiance mailed in the DS-160 confirmation page, 2 Visa photos, and copy of passport to the US Consulate, when I would check the scheduling website it would say the soonest available interview was around 1 June, so I figured it would be no problem getting a 10 June interview date.  I waited a few more days for the US Consulate to process the DS-160 confirmation page, etc. and then logged on to schedule her interview.  Of course, all of a sudden it jumped to 17 June being the soonest.

I've seen people say to just re-log in to the scheduling website frequently in case someone cancels to get an earlier interview appointment.  After an hour so of doing this I got this message: ""You are approaching the maximize number of times you may view this page. Please complete your transaction at this time".

Anyone had this issue before?   Can I keep re-logging in to check if an earlier date has cancelled or will I get locked out somehow?

Thanks!

You will get locked out for 48-72 hours after too many log-ins.  It happened to us twice.  I contacted the site administrator who sent a generic reply about logging in too often and requiring me to  wait for my account to reset.  I could not get an answer when asking how many log-ins was too many.

I found that the embassy posted most openings berween noon-5pm  local time on Friday. - Jason

One follow up question - it doesn't cancel your currently scheduled appointment if you get locked out correct?

It shouldn't since getting locked out is just an administrative function of the website. - Jason

So yes, I did lock myself out of my account.  I called the customer service # where they confirmed that I had frozen my account for 24 - 72 hours.  They also confirmed my appointment was still good.
