How to fill out N-400 under three year rule (spouse) Parts 5, 8 and 9. Help please!

Hi,

 

I'm finally sarting the process of naturalization but I need help to fill out the form. I am applying under the three year rule (based on marriage) and was wondering if I have to fill out parts 5, 8 and 9 with the last three OR five years? Since I'm applying under the three year rule, I assume I only have to list my adresses, jobs and travel history of the last 3 years but I can't find that written down anywhere! Please can someone clarify this for me? Especially people that have already filled out the form and applied based on US marriage.

09/11/2018 ROC Petition mailed via USPS Priority Mail

09/13/2018 Package delivered by USPS to Texas Lockbox

09/19/2018  Received text message and email confirmation from USCIS confirming receipt of ROC Petition 

10/29/2018 Received three (😲) NOA/I-797 Letters in the mail ; NOA date - 10/22/2018, ROC received date - 09/13/2018

05/25/2019 Biometrics Waiver Letter received from USCIS (dated 05/17/2019)

10/03/2019 Case transferred to Potomac Service Center

11/20/2019 Case was approved

11/22/2019 Card mailed to me

11/27/2019 10 Year P.R. Card received in the mail, Praise God!!!

AOS Journey(Time elapsed from AOS filing date to case approval - 1 year , 1 month, 4 days)

08/14/2015 Date of Marriage in Houston, TX

11/02/2015 Concurrent filing package for AOS sent: I-130, I-485 and I-765 (mailed via USPS Priority Mail)

11/20/2015 NOA/I-797Cs received in the mail (Priority Date - 11/5/2015)

12/04/2015 Biometrics Appointment Date

It is confusing because it's not specifically mentioned in any of their instructions. However, we only filled out the information for three years, because that's how long my spouse was a LPR. That's all USCIS cares about. Just to be safe, in the cover letter, my spouse mentioned that the answers to those questions would be filled out based on the three years as a LPR. You probably don't even need to do that...not sure if they read those anyway.  😆 It was not an issue for us. It never came up at the interview. Good luck!
