I am worried we receive a RFE notification and they request a passport photo of my boyfriend this will further delay our process

someone who has obtained this same notification?

Any RFE delays the process ad right now all processing on your file has stopped until you respond back.

How did you miss this requirement?

YMMV

It shouldn't be too bad if they just need a photo. I had a similarly minor RFE and I got approved 2 weeks after sending the documents in.

today we obtained the RFE and today we send the answer

Thank you very much , today we obtained the RFE and today we send the answer

Will this delay processing of your petition?  Most likely.

How long will be the delay? Depends on several factors, including, but not limited to: Your promptness with the correct response. The type and complexity of  file the adjudicator started working on after stopping work on your file awaiting for your response. I have heard of estimates of two weeks to a month delay due to an RFE being issued.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Thank you very much 😊
