Passport Question ??

I am a UK citizen and and CGC holder. I am returning to the UK for a holiday this coming September. My passport is in my maiden name and therefore my ticket is booked in my maiden name. I am now concerned that as my GC is in my married name, I may encounter some problems when I return through US immigration? Has anyone any experience of this. Would it be ok to take my marriage certificate, birth certificate etc to prove my maiden and married name? Thanks for any help you can give.

My wife's Japanese Passport still had her name maiden name it , we had a trip planned to Colorado so we went to the Japanese Consulate in Los Angeles, They amended her passport adding a name chnage amendment on the page following her biographical page, We did that so she would have valid ID for her Biometrics Appt. and it made travel easy.

I travelled to the UK for the first time in April since getting my green card. My passport and tickets were in my maiden name but I did take a copy of marriage cert with me.

I wasn't asked for the marriage certificate at any stage - when I came back in to the US I just handed my passport and green card over - they checked on the computer and stamped my passport and that was that. Best to take it though just incase - you just never know!

Hope you have a great visit :-)
