AOS Interview cancelled

Hello everyone. I was scheduled for an interview today at Seattle USCIS office. On my way (just 1hour before) I got a call from the officer telling me that my interview had been cancelled because she couldn't have access to my file. I was in Baltimore before moving to Washington. 

Is that have something to do with what happened today?

I will appreciate your support and answer.

USCIS still somehow ship paper files around the country despite it being 2019. If your file isn't at your local field office by the date of your interview then it has to be canceled and rescheduled.

I mean... you think this would be available in an electronic form, if for no other reason than to save shipping costs.

 

It’s like when I’m asked to fax something.  Sorry, what?  I work at a tech company and we don’t have a fax machine bc email exists.  Archaic methods for sending data/information hurts my brain.  Get with the times.  (Also, I resent having to make a trip to Office Depot and use an actual fax machine, and then submit an expense report for $3).

I came in Seattle in May 2018 and changed my address right by the way. Seattle office confirmed on my my address change and sent me a notice of action. In December I sent a request to renew my EAD as I didn't get my GC.

No one ever said USCIS were an efficient organisation.
