Hello all,

My fiancee happened to work in China a few years ago, and we have to obtain a Police Certificate from China for Packet 3. In a nut shell we must pick up the application from a local chinese  notary, fill it out and take it to the local police to obtain the certificate, and then take it back to the notary to have it notarized. Then present it with a certified translated copy.

An option to traveling to China to have this done is to use a certified representative.

Has anyone here used a certified representative in China to do this? Or personally traveled to China to do this?

I'm really hoping not to make multiple trips to China to sort this out.

Thank you all,

Ken

Hello Ken,

I've done it through this agency: https://www.beijingesc.com/china-no-criminal-record-certificate-service-in-beijing.html

It took about 20 days to be in my hand in Ukraine and about $600. They did an excellent job :)

That is the website that discusses how to attain a PC from China. You don't have to pay someone money to receive this document.  There is an old thread discussing this issue here. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/413984-police-clearance-certificate/

Thank you both.

Greenbaum, I've read some of the old post, but I hadn't seen anything specific for Thai fiances. And apparently I'm not very adept at posting as I thought I was posting this in the Thai subforum.

With all the associated costs of obtaining this document (notary fee, china visa, airfare, lodging, etc.), not to mention time, I'm just curious if it would cost less overall to hire an representative.

Thanks again,

Ken

Some find that works better for them to get a person to help. I think there was some information contained in the first link that addresses this issue.
