Joint Sponsor requested by CO

A co-sponsor was requested by a CO due to the income being below the required guidelines for 2017 tax return however 2018 is well above the level and dependent household size has decreased. Can the 2018 taxes/transcripts be submitted instead of using a co-sponsor?

They look at the totality of everything submitted to make their decision. Sending the updated transcript should help, but usually once they say you need a cosponsor, you need to find a cosponsor. Maybe the new transcript and some proof of some assets to make up the shortcomings might help, but I don't think many people get them to change their minds about needing a cosponsor, but maybe it happens more than I read about here.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. I know the costs involved in this whole game of immigration, and if I can save you some money I will!

I was in the same situation. But everybody suggested to provide what the embassy asked. Someone even said that they provided updated IRS’s but they still insisted for co-spinsor.

I provided the co-sponsor papers and two days after i was approved.
