Immigrant visa fee

I went for my interview and with the glory of God i was approved but asked to pay for the immigrant visa fee before traveling to the united state, Can this be paid in cash at the consulate?

There should be an invoice inside with payment instructions.

This morning I went to pick up my Cr1 Visa at the Courier service, but I was not given any packetand they told me it's been sent to us immigration directly, is this possible?

Yes, some packets are sent electronically,

Thank you so much, what do you think about buying airline ticket advance even when usisc told me to wait atleast 5days to pay the fee online or can I pay in person at the consulate?.... I miss my wife so much
