If you haven’t submitted it yet, you should be able to revise

You can complete a new one.  However, it is really important to keep the confirmation page (with the bar code) of your first submission.  It may be necessary at your embassy to link any payments.

If you google revising the DS-160, or mistake or something like that, it will take you to information on this subject.

any experts ready to chime in?

That is addressed inLondon's FAQs. It says DS-260 (for spouse visas) but it applies to you as well.

If you have made an error when completing the DS-260 you are required to correct the error and re-transmit it if the error concerns the Background and Security questions or passport number.  Please contact us through our website as we will be required to unlock your case before you can amend the information.  If the error is in the biographic details, you may notify the consular officer on the day of your interview and take no further action.
