petitioner's original birth certificate needed (split topic)

So I have a question,my husband filed the paperwork for my son(his stepson) for IR2 and now case is at the consulate for interview and they sent an email that they need the petitioners original birth certificate and my husband is refusing with it,I have a copy so how do I go about this????we are not in good books currently that is why he is refusing....What can I do?all other documents are available and original

What do you mean. "we are not in good books currently that is why he is refusing"?

 

Copy won't do at a interview. Go to the authority that issues Birth certificate. That will be the certified copy that will be accepted. It's either that or no visa. So I hope he is a bit more compliant.

We are having issues in our marriage so any form of communication is kinda hindered as he won’t comply or listen .....will go to the issuing authority and see if they can help me,thank you for the input

Unfortunately, they requested the original so you'll have to present the original. No way around that.

So they will refuse the visa,correct?no use for my son to go there right as he will be denied

Tell hubby now is not the time for that..u gotta have the original...no way around it

So I got the certified copy for the birth certificate from the issuing office and when making a copy of it ,it has void all over it,is that the acceptable form?
