Why Ready status takes 7 weeks and still after AP?

I had my interview Nov-16th-2018 for DV1 visa and they kept my passport, my visa status was on AP (221g) until Jan-30th-2019 and changed to READY status and still until now not update yet, still waiting since, I would appreciate some of your wealthy information, thank you.

Did they give a specific reason for your 221g?

Moroccan nationals are often subject to lengthy  background checks, in the absence of anything specific I’d guess that’s the main reason. Have you contacted the embassy to enquire?

No after the interview the consular kept my passport and said we will be looking at you case!!

I called the consulate the March-5th-2019 and I asked about my case and he asked me what type of visa and told him DV1 then he told me don’t worry once it’s ready we will send it that’s all I had as a response

Hi Jamal

my brother 's case is similar to yours. He had the interview on November 9, 2019 and everything went well. But at the end , the officer asked my brother to fill out the form ds 5535 and send it back . He did send it 2 days later and since then he is waiting for their response. Now it s 6 months and nothing's new. Could you please inform me of your update status.here is my email
