Usually for CR-1/IR-1 process, I-864 is needed and for K-1/K-3 process, I-134 is needed.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

There are income requirements for I-864, if your income is not enough, you can get a joint sponsor. To see the income levels, you may want to check the I-864 instructions from USCIS.gov website (click on forms and find I-864). I am not sure, if there is any income requirements for I-134. Perhaps, it depends on the consular officer's discretion whether the income is enough while dealing with I-134.

Usually? so I may just know about the time they call me for the interview?

Another thing do u know if the minimum income for i-134 and I-864 are the same?

KevFabi,

Always, except perhaps for the US consulate in France where it's said that I-864 is required for the K visas.

You indicate that you are applying for an immigrant visa, and those financial requirements are relatively clear-cut - I-134 and the financial requirements for a non-immigrant K visa are much more subjective and will only confuse you unnecessarily.

Yodrak thanks

Seems like you know a lot about all this procedures, I've seeing you have been answered many questions.

So let me ask you for another help, Do you know if the minimum income it's the same as I-864?

I'm just kind worry, my husband has 3 dependents (kids) and he did sponsored another 2 people years a go,

he's self employed and own a building with good value (it's almost payoff) but on he's IRS it's showing $41k , so I'm kind confused if we can use his assets and/or the store taxes? or only he's income will be enough

Thanks

$24,130 is the minimum requirement for a household of five. See: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1327.html

If you intend to obtain a CR1 or IR1 visa your husband will be filing an I-864.

Yes, it's the same and since you are filing the I-129F you are far more likely to enter on the K3 visa. So, he'll send you the I-134 to have available at the interview and then do the I-864 when you adjust status after arrival.

Please check the link I gave you and use the 125% column. I gave you the wrong figure.

but Im a bit unsure about something now..........KevFabi shows as doing a CR-1 but makes reference to the I-129F about to be filed.......which would then make it a K-3 thereby requiring the I-134 and 100% of the poverty level so you were still right pushbrk :D
