Case sent to Dept: of state

my received a email from USCIS says my case sent to Dept: of state but its did not say its approved or no?

I email them and USCIS reply says your case still under review so any one know that is going on??

If your I-130 was not approved, it would not be sent to NVC.......congratulations for making it to NVC.

You will receive a document from USCIS like this via mail.  You will also receive an email from NVC in a few weeks.

Back in 2016, it took a month for our case to arrive at NVC.

The petitioner will receive the NOA2 in the mail soon, assuming that they have the correct mailing address on file.  The case has been sent to the NVC, it takes about 4 weeks to arrive there.  Then it sits at NVC for about 8 weeks and then they assign a case number.  At that point (about 12 weeks from now), you can proceed to submit documents needed from the beneficiary--do your research on the NVC stage--and the petitioner's financial documents and affidavit of support.  Once those documents are submitted either in paper or uploaded electronically, it takes about 3 weeks for NVC to process everything and then they will set an interview appointment at your consulate or embassy abroad for the visa.  Those appointments can be anywhere from a few weeks to a few months from that point, depending on the country.  Do your research on the country-specific forum here in VJ to learn more about timing of interviews, medical exam, biometrics locations, and the rules and process for that country.  After the interview if all goes smoothly, no additional documents are needed or other problems with the interview or other delays, it typically takes another week or two to get the passport with the visa in it.  With no delays that will be five or six months from now.  Good luck with the rest of the process!
