Applying i485 with dui

I had dui 2 years ago.

everything has been cleared fines,probation and community service.

got already approved for i130 still is there anyone who has applied before with dui conviction if yes please would like to know what happens with the interview

I had CIMTs during when I was filing my AOS...the IO asked for court-certified documents pertaining to the arrest/charges.  Even though I'd already sent in originals with my application, she asked for them again during my interview.  I watched her literally take the new documents and place them on top of the already-submitted ones in my file.  There were no questions about my arrest during the AOS, as the focus was more on my bonafide marriage----however during my N400 the IO questioned me about it at two separate points during my interview.  That's not to say your arrest won't come up during your AOS interview, though--all depends on the IO you get.

 

The reason I mention this, is that you should order several court-certified copies of the documents pertaining to your arrest/charge/probation completion.  You will need to submit them again with your ROC (even though they already have them on file), and again with your N400 (even though they already have them on file twice over at that point).  I highly suggest doing this now, as with years passing those documents can be more troublesome to track down again.

I see thanks for the heads up will get on it right away I had got date yet for interview or heard anything yet and would have me explain the whole senario of my arrest again and ask me how it went do n stuff & did u get approved right away or had to wait

My AOS was approved on the spot after my interview---that was years ago though, not sure if they do on-the-spot approvals anymore.

 

My ROC interview was waived, approved via mailed letter.

 

My N400 interview, the IO said she needed my file to go under supervisor revision first due to the past charges, but I gently pressed her to get the approval on the spot (if the supervisor was available), and thankfully she did.
