yay.. new stuff.. called today (1/17/2008) and they said they created a service request previously for the I-129F.. and that the "referral target" date (when they will look at it) will be 2/13/2008.. still pretty far.. BUT THE IMPORTANT THING IS THAT : they transferred my case back to CSC (California Service Center)... Today's customer service person actually telephoned the Missouri office (National Benefits Center), and they said it got transferred back to CSC (California Service Center) today, right before I called them today.. they mailed a letter , dated 1/17, saying they transferred both apps back here.. she also created a new service request for my I-130 too.. but both "referral" dates are in February.. that is the earliest when they can look at my case.. she also put "emergency priority flags" on my case.. and also notified the CSC of "outside of processing times"...  I really hope something will happen soon..

I sent my REF to CIS by Post and they sent me its confirmation back. but my status has not been changed online(in the USCIS homepage) yet.

How will it take to update their homepage?

Anyway, I hope that we got our approval in next weeks. I am in 8th month of our process. it is not really fair. :(

Amoro, USCIS can take up to 6 weeks to act on RFE information sent to them, so you should hear something by the end of February at the latest. Generally, if you have sent the service centre everything they have asked for on the RFE, the next step is an approval. As they should now have everything they need to give it the "ok" :)

Hi Amoro,

I had an RFE that I sent in Dec. 26 and they received Dec. 27. You should get a CRIS email stating that they have resumed the case. I did and they resumed my case on Jan. 7 and I got CRIS notification on Jan. 9 that both my petitions were approved. Maybe that will help you to calculate approximately when you might see your approval. I was told it takes the mailroom a little time to enter the info in the computer and then get it back to the original adjudicator. Once the adjudicator gets it back on their desk, they resume working the case immediately and I found that to be the case. On your CRIS email, it will tell you that you can expect a decision within 60 days, but it won't be that long. Hope this helps. Good luck and hope for a speedy approval.

Deb

Hi Amoro,

My wording was they can take UP TO 6 weeks to resume processing. It's exactly the same "covering their backs" that they use for the 6 month processing times  My Honey's did indeed take 6 weeks from receipt and I believe hers was for a divorce certificate.

If you keep in your mind the longest time, then an earlier approval is bonus. If you focus on 2 weeks and it doesn't come then it becomes more frustrating.

Cheryl
