Are the processing times on USCIS website accurate? If it says June 28th 2018 for the date we can claim unusual processing time, is that the month they're working on? Also, how accurate are visajourneys timelines? Thanks!!

Vj timelines are as accurate as people's updates, in general, the dates listed on the websites are a reference for what they consider outside of usual processing times.

 

those times can change depending on case load, but it is more of an approximation for how long they anticipate cases to take depending on when they are submitted.

The "Receipt date for a case inquiry" date on the USCIS web site is the date that they're comfortable handling inquiries about. For the most part, they're working on cases newer than that; if there weren't some gap between the two, they'd get inquiries on any case that ran a little long.

 

VJ timelines are based on the averages of what's reported by VJ users. Between 5-10% of K-1 filers create and maintain timelines here, so they're pretty accurate for a month worth of users. For any given day, there aren't really enough data points to say much.
