I-130 Petition for Alien relative

What does this mean?

After the interview for the AOS we got a letter by USCIS saying:  Notice type Approval notice Section Husband or wife of us citizen.

The above petition has been approved. The petition indicates that the beneficiary is in the United States and wishes to apply for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident. He or she should submit a copy of this notice, along with a Form I-485, application to register permanent residence or adjust status. He or she can obtain form I 485 from the Uscis website at www.uscis.gov, by contacting the Uscis National customer service center (NCSC)at 1-800-375-5283...

This form is not a visa and may not be used in place of a visa. The approval of this visa petition does not in itself grant any immigration status and does not guarantee that the alien beneficiary will subsequently be found to be eligible for a visa, for admission to the United State, or for an extension, change, or adjustment of staus.

Since you don't have a time line or information about how your spouse got here (tourist visa, K1, CR1 etc) it's a little hard to answer your question. Could you fill out your timeline and give us some more info please? I-130 is a spousal visa, you shouldn't go through AOS unless she came here on another type of visa, you guys got married and you adjusted status from there on

I got here through the tourist visa (b2) and we filed for the AOS/permanent residence (I485). We attend the interview it went great and 6 days later we got this later. So I was wondering what this letter meant.

You filed the I-485 application and your spouse filed a I-130 petition.

It's an approval notice of your spouse's I-130 petition. Still wait for a decision notice for your I-485 application.

How long does the decision notice take for the I-485?
