NBI with AKA clarification needed

In my experience it is only an AKA if the other name ends up on an official document.  There was a misspelling of my wife's name on her daughter's birth certificate and we got a 221(g) for a new NBI with the misspelled name as an AKA.  Her name is Maria Ramosa but everybody calls her Rose.  We were told that we did not need an AKA for Rose since it was not in ant official document.

If you want to redo the DS-160 you can do that, then bring the new confirmation page to the interview.  But I doubt it is necessary
