Please i'm a little confused here. IRS and W2 documents..are they the same thing or you need both IRS AND W2?

 

Is the IRS transcript ok to submit or i need a W2 too?

transcripts are fine to submit all the information is on them, however if you only have the tax return 1040 that is when you will need the W2.

If you submit irs transcripts then you don’t need w2. If you submit tax return form ( 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ) then you have to submit w2 alongside it as well.

Thanks I had this same question, I didn't know if I had to have transcripts from the IRS or if the tax form I filled out when I filled this year along with my W2 would suffice

I submitted 2 years of our tax returns and transcripts for both years.. but I could not find all of my husbands w2’s and I was able to send my W2. Should be fine right?
