I was wondering if anyone is having a hard time finding interview appointments at the embassy in Haiti for K1 visa? I called and they mentioned the dates that is will be available is all the way in February 2019????? Have anyone had this problem before??  I mean NVC processed our documents and it has been ready since November 15th??? Why do we have to wait so long?? Will they post earlier dates? Is this what the embassy in Haiti typically tell people? Please someone shine some light my way, I have been searching for appointments since November 24th 2018 and have not seen any dates.

Hi, you’re not the only one. I believe @S&ERav

was also waiting for appointment dates to open up but I’m not sure if they got one yet. It would be more understandable if they said appointments will be available in January since they usually try to close out the year by catching up on all of their back logged cases, but all the way in February is crazy.

Sometimes on UStraveldocs they’ll show no appointment availability for like a week then all of a sudden you’ll see they have openings again, so I say continue to check just in case.

@gsdc23 thank you for the update. I have been checking since November 24th and there has not been any dates posted up there. Is this something common? Have individuals express this as well? I am new to this space. I know its crazy to say wait until February 2019 and the I-797 expires well before than, I mean I am getting a bit concern here.

Yes if you go through this thread, you’ll see it happened to a few ppl a couple of times but the appointment dates would always randomly appear again after a week or 2, but if you’ve been looking since Nov. 24th then I’m not sure it’s been that long for appointments to pop up.

You should email the embassy and let them know about the NOA2 expiration date or even call NVC to see what your options are if appointment dates don’t open up before your expiration date.

@gsdc23 thank you for the information. I will try calling NVC and the embassy in Haiti. This is ridculous and frustrating😥😥😣😣😣😣😣

I’m sorry you’re going through this, hopefully it gets resolved soon. I’ve been waiting in AP since September 19th for them to hurry up and finish processing my case. I’ve been placed in the black hole of Administrative Processing & It’ll be 3 months next week since my fiancé & I been waiting 🙄. So I completely understand your frustration with them.

@gsdc23 omg for what?? I mean this is another phase after the actual interview.

They’re verifying his divorce documents even though he had all his official sealed paperwork 🙄 So it’s taking longer than usual . But it’s not something everyone goes through, a lot of ppl get approved the day of interview if all their documents are in order so don’t mind my unlucky experience lol. They’re really backed up it’s ridiculous.
