spousal,step children of us citizen,us medical

hi!! I'm married to a US citizen and we want to bring myself and my 5 children over to Louisiana,I'm petrified of the medical interview as in the past I've been treated for depression/anxiety(never self harmed) and I have drug resistant epilepsy,my eldest son has epilepsy also and we are both on medication,my younger son has adhd/autism and is also kn medication,can these be grounds to fail us??? Panicking isn't the word!! Please help!!!

Those conditions are not reasons for a denial. However, the CO may inquire about your husband (sponsor) being able to make enough to cover medical costs.

 

I don't think it will be an issue though.

Not sure where you are coming from but maybe check out the Medical care you will be getting so you can show that and be prepared that the medical exam will cover these issues..

Thank-you for quick reply!,I'm a walking bag of nerves and we haven't even filed yet!!! Me and children are coming from great Britain,good idea,I'm dreading the cost of health insurance when we do get there!

The cost of medical care in America is insane. I suggest you research it to the best of your ability. Unless you or your fiance are of significant means I would think it would be a deal breaker for a family of five coming from the UK with significant medical issues. Sorry if that sounds negative but I would hate for you to put you and your childrens health in danger.

We will be getting health insurance when we get there,it's just me and my 2 out if 5 children with health needs,I'm doing as much research as I can :-)
