What does it mean when NVC case status gets updated? My hubby had his interview 2 weeks ago. He was asked to bring another sponsor on 221(g). So on the day he returned to the embassy, his case was updated, and it’s updated today but still under AP. What does it mean when your case gets updated but still AP..? Just curious.. 👀

It means they opened/worked on his case file. It updated the day he returned because he provided them with his additional documents. It also updates if you make an inquiry & the embassy responds. When it updates on its own it means they viewed or worked on something in your case but you’ll never know exactly what they’re doing.

Update your timeline so future Chilean visa applicants can have more info!

My husband just had his interview today and was approved. Crossing my fingers that yours gets approved before the holidays!
