Been trying to get an appointment date for my interview but it not available and my validity expired 13th of January 2019.what do I do? I received a letter from the Lagos embassy on the 5th of November 2018 wit the information below:

Dear Ms. OKON:

The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos is ready to begin final processing of your approved K1 visa petition. Kindly request your fiancé/fiancée (EDMOND CHRISTIAN NWAUGO) to visit any branch of Guaranty Trust Bank PLC in Nigeria IMMEDIATELY to pay the K1 visa processing fee of $265; and after that, follow the instructions for fiancé/fiancée visa applicants attached to this email. K1 Visas arrive at post with only a four month validity.  Your fiancé must attempt to secure an interview date that falls before the expiration of your approved Form I-129F petition, since the validity of your approved petition may not be extended.

If I remember correctly, I've seen folks here chatting that there is a 2-3 month wait for interviews in Nigeria? I'd keep checking regularly for spots to open up and maybe call the consulate to make sure they extend your validity date.

Filed: K-1 Visa Country: Russia
Timeline

get in touch with the embassy, as far as I know, here in russia, we also have a problem with appointment availability, and if your application expires and you are unable to get an appointment because of a lack of interview spots, they can extend it. My application expires Feb 12, I'm facing the same problem I think. I just emailed the embassy and they wrote back
