Interviewed and case held for review for up to 120 days

Hello everyone!

 

Had my interview last week and my case is held for review, which could take up to 120 days... 😴 Any recent experience you could share? There were a lot of people at the local office, there might be someone in the same boat?

 

The interview went smoothly, and the officer collected most of the required documents listed in the interview invitation. Now another round of endless waiting

We were not explicitly told our case will be held for review but it's been 2 months since our interview and nothing yet.

I was given written notice as the result of the interview.

It is a standard form called interview result, with some check boxes for reasons of not approving,

do u mind if i asked what the reasons they check in the box they gave u ?

The reasons are sometime like: 1 They need more time, 2 The case need to be transferred to another office or service center. Pretty generic.

It might be something really easy, like doublechecking if they have your medical from the K1, or doing a name check, or something like that.

I was approved on the spot, but still had to wait for 2 whole weeks to get mention of a greencard. So I would not be too anxious about the time you have to wait for a reply; I'm sure this could easily take them a month or two.

I'm sorry this happened to you, though. Sucks to have to wait even more.
