Hi guys,

I just got an interview notice after switching I-751 to divorce waiver.

i filled jointly 751 last year. But we got separated and I got RFE. As soon as I got RFE, I switched to  divorce waiver.

i sent a bunch of documents.

my lawyer kept saying that her most divorce waiver cases did not have an interview.

I am assuming that I will not have an interview.

Now I am kind of surprised that I got right away interview so fast.

i don't know if it is a good thing.

i am freaking out about the interview.

can anyone share interview experience?

i would really appreciate it.

Hi Lili-waiver,

I am going through the exact same situation as yours. Filed my I-751 divorce waiver in August 2017, replied RFE in March 2019, now I have pending interview in January 2020.

If you dont mind sharing, when and where is your interview?

I am requesting other visa journey users if they have any information about what kind of preparation can we do?

your lawyer with due respect is making things additionally confusing. If you search forums here for "divorce waiver" you will see that 9 out of 10 cases would have had an interview. It is completely normal to go through interview.
