If u have nvc number and have filled out ds-160 u can fill schedule ur medical. When u do this it will give u available dates for interviews.

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

You can't go online to schedule your interview until your case has left NVC on its way to London. Even then it will be at least 24 hours after the case shows as "In-Transit" on the CEAC status checker website.

you can book your medical via the phone number with just your case number as soon as you have it.

I have been told that when using a K visa, you do not need to have completed the medical before attending the interview as long as it is completed before AOS, does anyone know if this is correct?

Incorrect. You won't get a visa until you pass a medical exam In London given by a panel physician.

Your understanding of information is mixed up. A K1 does not have to have all immunizations to get a visa. Those are not required until AOS. BUT if you wait, then you will have to pay a second doctor in the US (called a civil surgeon) to sign off on your jabs. And most civil surgeons won't do that unless they give another complete medical exam. Hundreds of dollars.

If you get all your shots before your visa medical so they are signed off as complete by the panel physician in London, then you are done with doctors for immigration. Your London medical counts for AOS and your shot record is already signed off for AOS on an official form by an official doctor.
