I got my transfer notice today. I’m now in the NBC service center with WAC case. Does that mean I’ll start over with waiting? Has anyone gotten approved at NBC yet? I also already have a pending N400 already.

What is NBC service center? And what was the reason of the case transfer?

NBC In Missouri. They didn’t specify any reason why they transferred it.

they transferred your case for an interview. It should go your local office next. Unless your office waive it, you are 99% going to get an interview notice soon.

Not quite sure about that. I’m in Washington state and they transferred my case in Missouri.

NBC prepare cases for interviews. NBC is not a local office, it is a service center. Think of it as USCIS center spot. Soon enough, you will see your case at your local office. You can check thousands of posts on VJ about NBC transfers. Plus, since you probably didn't have an interview for AOS, you are more likely to interview you. Nothing too crazy.

Hopefully i hear from them soon! It’s been too long and i also have a pending N400 now. You are correct I didn’t have interview with my AOS. If i get an interview with this ROC I’m assuming i need to bring my husband with me. Just hoping my husband is home for my interview. He is in the military and is gone most of the time.

Just got the notification that we will be receiving an RFE 😳 WAC199006

We have a son, bought a house together, we file our taxes jointly etc.

Hello! We are waiting for a RFE as well. I made a post on Tuesday on this forum about it. We sent a lot of evidence just like you did...We are still waiting for the notice...Let’s keep each other posted!

Good luck!

Most likely you are in the same boat with me. Do you have a pending N400? If yes, they transfer your I-751 to NBC in which both cases are being bundled together and one interview will be scheduled for both. I am also in WA and waiting time is crazy. So I would say you might not hear anything on both cases until next year as Seattle office is the one of the slowest center processing N400. Hope this helps.

Goodluck,

There’s nothing to worry about... I received an RFE a couple of months ago... they will list what they received in your packet and they will list what documents they still need... Send all the documents that they ask for and if you have any extra documents u can always add them to the packet... full bank statements, Tax transcripts, copies of driving license with the same address for both...

they asked for our full joint bank statements and we provided the last 6 months and we included a cover letter that explains each Document and how we spend our money.. we also included pictures and itineraries for our trips... they want more detailed documents... we provided what they asked for and I got my approval not too long after we send our RFE packet

Hi,

Thank you for your message and support :) We already included all that when we initially filed our ROC. We sent bank accounts, savings account, credit cards, retirement plan with statements since we married until we filed in Nov 2018. We also included IRS joint tax return transcripts, house deed, car, house dental and health insurances showing both of our names. We enclosed copies of our drivers license, over 30 photos, flights tickets, hotel receipts, water, gas, and electricity bills showing both of our names...We also share a phone plan...We sent 3 notarized affidávits...

I honestly do not know what else they could ask for. I will let you guys know once we receive the notice...

Have a good night and many thanks again!

You’re most welcome! Their RFE letter will have all the information... it should be straight forward and they will list everything that they need... send them everything that you have and that they asked for and add anything even if you think it’s unnecessary... we only sent our bank accounts with our names on it the first time but apparently they wanted the full statement to see how you guys spend your money... we wrote a cover letter explaining that we use this account for groceries this account to pay the house rent... the more detailed the merrier!!!

Good luck! Hopefully what they request won’t be too hard to give!

Here is the link to Seattle N400 cases. Applicants who have combo applications (N400+i751) are waiting longer than everyone else. Some applicants filed their i751 in 2016 and are still waiting til now for a combo interview.

That's why it recommended to Seattle i751 applicants to wait for their I751 to be approved before filing for Citizenship. The combo venue is an uncertain path in Washington state.

But here is the thing for you with a MILITARY HUSBAND.  You should use that to get your interview quickly. I saw military's spouses getting approved quickly for military and family reasons.

Thank you for the information! Yes the only thing we could think of is if my husband gets orders for us to move oversees, then it might get expedited. We’re also looking into getting help through military helpline of USCIS but idk if that would even help.

Try the best you can to find a reason to expedite your both applications before being stuck for up to 4 years.

You should read some posts on the link I shared with  you about: "Washingtonian", "GermanG", "Py6"...and many others who are combo filers in Seattle, are stuck and they keep getting extensions after extensions for years and don't know what else to do.
