General Santos - Road Trip and Review

We decided to make a motorbike trip to see Gensan yesterday,  Overall I was pretty impressed, it a very clean city with nice roads and infrastructure.   We left around lunch time and it took almost 2 hours to get there from my location, which is about 45 minutes south of Davao City Proper.    First 30 kilos were flat 6 lane highway for the most part, the next 50 kilos were in mountains and nice and cool and very scenic.  After we cleared the mountain we was about 20 kilos to Gen. Santos Proper.

We arrived around 3pm and went to a small mall called Robertson, didn't go in. I asked the guard at motorbike parking if there is a larger mall, he said go down the road about 1 kilo.  This mall was huge, bigger than anything they have in Davao City.  I don't know the name but it had a huge waterfall outside.  We spent about 30 minutes looking around and found a JCO donut and had a few, best donuts I have tasted anywhere.

It was around 4:30 pm so we decided to head back since we knew it was close to 2 hours to get back to our house.

I will spend more time there next trip when I come, I think this place may be better than Davao City, and I am huge fan of Davao City.

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

Sounds nice. We were going to go to Davao next year in April when we go; but with 2-3 planned things already and family to see, doubt we will get there. We will instead spend 2-3 days in Palawan. I've never been; but seeing ourselves sitting on the patios of one of the nice resort "huts" over looking that water...even being half as nice as the photos I'll take it... that's the type of relaxation we need after dealing with the whole family, a graduation, and potentially his brother's wedding hahaha.

Thank you for the insite on GenSan. We will be heading there next year but not for a good reason, we will be seeing the grave and family of a friend of my wife's that passed away.

I don't remember, it is the first mall you get to after you go thru the military check point, maybe 5 minutes from there.
