Anyone have any good ideas and recommendations on working from home?

Back home I was a grantwriter for non- profits, and now in the US I'm working as an instructional aide in an elementary school but with being pregnant I know I will be home for at least three months, once the baby is born and would like to find something to work from home. It's not like we couldn't use the money

My problem is that I'm aware of a lot of scams going on in the "work from home, earn big" arena and am not sure how to distinguish between a real deal and bogus stuff.

So, any ideas and/ or personal experiences would be useful...

thanks

While in High School & College I earned a lot of money teaching piano lessons. Relatively stress free... on your own schedule.. people come to you.. and you don't need special equipment.. (generally speaking)..

If you have a skill and can teach others.. it might be an option :)

I know it's hard to find legit work from home, and I cannot even suggest how you would go about finding it. I have a full time and part time job from home, but I lucked into both positions (though with my part time position, once a week I have to go to our head office), and have had my full time job from home for 6 years.

Look into outsourced customer support positions.

I personally work doing international customer/community support for an online game.

Good luck to you!

(no we're not hiring :P)

I'm the Sheriff so I can not advocate this, but prostution is big business.... LOL!!! :jest: Just kidding! If you have some money to invest in potential products that consumers may want, then try selling on eBay.

Actually, I was always good at making stuff- things like clothing, and pillows, and accesorries...and one thing that got unbeliveably positive attention no matter where I went or traveled was a bag I made; and I'm talking the kind of attention where people pull me on the street to ask where I got it.

So I decided to make a few more of those and put them on EBay and see how they go...

Thanks for all good input (F)

We have a company locally that allows you to work from home, by hand writing a note on a card and addressing an envelope. Maybe try checking through some marketing companies to see if anything in your area that does similiar. It is basically the same as an envelope stuffing work from home job, only it is legit. The pay was not fantastic but you are sitting at home doing it on your own time.
