Agreed....fine to take to the interview for existing applicants.

 

After Nov. 1st of this year, that won't be the case anymore and it is required to send with the I-485 and be signed within 60 days of filing. But they are also considered valid longer to compensate so they are unlikely to expire in the meantime.
