Hello,

 

My fiance had his interview on August 30,2018 in the US islamabad embassy in Pakistan. The officer told him he was "approved" however he needs to submit the I-134 to obtain his visa. We submitted it the very next day. It has now been 47 days and he has still not received his visa with passport. The case is in AP since August 30 only the date keeps updating. Last time updated was Oct 4. Any suggestions on what I should do? Its frustrating at this point

You can contact them and ask for an update. However, AP has no firm timelines...it can be days, weeks, months, or years. AP from Pakistan tends to be quite lengthy for security checks (months) due to the US government having to conduct their own investigation because the PCCs are not trusted (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Pakistan.html).

1/2/18: EAD + AP approved (no website update), 1/5/18: EAD + AP mailed, 1/8/18: EAD + AP approval notice hardcopies received, 1/10/18: EAD + AP received

9/5/18: Interview scheduled notice, 10/17/18: Interview

10/24/18: Green card produced notice, 10/25/18: Formal approval, 10/31/18: Green card received

5/1/2017: Case received by Manila (1 week embassy transfer??? Lucky~)

7/13/2017: Interview: APPROVED!!!

7/19/2017: Visa in hand

8/15/2017: POE
