photos of your family are proof of your fiance and you having met them. That is all. What you need is a photo of yourself and your fiance together. There is a variety of proofs to meet the requirements. No, you will not get into trouble for not having that specific photo to get a K-1 approval. There is no way to verify who is on the picture anyways. Family is not considered just blood or relatives. All of my siblings don't live in my home country, nor was my living parent at the time. My then fiance meet my extended family (cousins, moms cousins and their dad). Concentrate on other proof of relationship. Photos are important, but not all that is required

12/28/2018                Interview has been scheduled. Waiting for notification with date by snail mail

Your best evidence of all is evidence of time spent together. Focus on that. Make as many trips to each other as you can afford, for as long as you can afford. Not having photos with your family won’t cause a denial alone, but you need to see the whole picture and look at the sum total of all the evidence that you have. 

 

I was approved for my spouse visa despite my husband never having met anyone in my family. My mother didn’t meet him until we had been married almost 4 years - which was 18 months after my visa was approved. 

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

 

Now a US citizen!
