Hi everyone since i do have my case number and invoice number can i start the next steps now? Or do i need to wait for the actual NVC letter? Thank you.

You don't need the actual letter
NVC letter can take up to months to arrive

Once you have the case number, you can proceed with the rest of the journey

Just make sure that you follow your embassy protocols

Yeah, as soon as the CEAC status page says your case is "Ready" (to schedule an interview at the consulate), then I think you can send them your packet 3 stuff.. I waited until I received the letter in the mail, but realised afterward that I didn't have to do that. And I never received any email, despite being the one to call NVC to find out what our MTL number was, and giving them my email during that phone call. Luckily I wasn't waiting too long for the snail mail, but I'm in midtown Toronto so I'm guessing there's less chance of mail being lost on the way here, and it probably isn't that slow from Montreal, either. As another posted said, some people never get the paper version of the letter, or any email.

Also, be sure to get your RCMP background check process started fairly soon, it will probably be a little slower than you might expect. And in general, don't wait around to gather documentation, you're fairly far along in the process and you don't want to be scrambling last minute for things like I was. Make sure you have your fiancé(e) fill out their I-134 and new letter of intent to marry soon, as well as whatever evidence for the I-134 that they'll be providing to you, and get it in the mail soon so you don't have to pay extra for expedited courier delivery. Registered mail should be good enough, and it will be cheaper to get the slower version as long as you leave yourself enough time. There are other things to do as well, so check around in the other threads on here, or you could ask further questions in here and I'm sure someone will be glad to help.

We got approved last Sept. 10 and CEAC status is still at NVC. Been calling 2x now but they have the same answer. Don't know the reason why it still there. Hopefully next week my status will be change. I have all the requirements already, just waiting for the change of status and Packet 3..Fingers crossed. Btw, @Timonlovesskylour i'm in North York.

Even once it says Ready, for K1 I do suggest waiting for the email from Montreal or a few weeks to submit your P3.  Montreal is famous for telling people they jumped the gun and to wait for the Ok from them.
