Entering US after having the green card interview cancelled

Can I still enter the US with an AP combo card/work permit, when my green card interview and application was cancelled 3 months ago? Online the status says: we cancelled your interview for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number *, and mailed you a cancellation notice. We will notify you by mail if the appointment is rescheduled, a decision is made, or if we need something from you. Based on this, can I still legally enter the US and have a good reason to do so? I will have a return ticket to show I will go back to my country.

Thank you for your help

Did they mention or do you know why they canceled it? Did you by chance leave the country without AP first and your petition was deemed abandoned? Some other information could be helpful.

Yes because we are in divorce proceedings and that's why I went back to my country. I left the US with the AP and the petition was not abandoned but cancelled by us. I am still wondering if I could enter the country or not, since it seems they cancelled the petition.

If you guys sent in a request for the I-485 to be withdrawn because you guys were going through divorce and it was withdrawn because of that reason then yes the AP/EAD also became automatically void as well since it’s tied to the I-485. If you attempt to re enter the U.S. using it you will certainly be denied entry.
