Hi everyone,

After almost a month waiting.. we finally got our interview date!

And... it's on the same day as we have a flight to Brazil to see go see my family after one year apart.

The thing is, our interview is at 10 AM and the flight is only at 10 PM - So we were planning on going to the interview and then going to the airport. But I'm scared if that's gonna mess up me coming back into the US.

I read about some people that got approved on the spot and go the stamp, people that didn't get the stamp, people that weren't approved on the spot.

So I'm not sure if it's better to reschedule the interview or not.

I would really appreciate some help.

Thanks

Couldn't give you the specific answer, nor did we have to do the interview process for AOS.... but, if you're concerned about any issues or delays, as long as you AP is still valid and you can reschedule the interview, it might just be easier to do that. While I myself don't generally advise rescheduling interview,or even traveling until AOS is complete.(we haven't out of the country in two years and aren't until next April) but, again at this point that might be a good option to ensure no conflicts happen.

Honestly, the better choice is to keep the option open of rescheduling your flight if needed, imo.

In my AOS days, I was approved on the spot and received the passport stamp.  However, this is not always the case as you'll see by researching threads here.

Do you have AP?  You never mentioned this in your post...
