I am almost ready to send my application. I know you can send the form via online. For those who have sent the application online, how was your experience? i don't know if it is true but i hear it can go faster than sending it via mail.

We did not notice any difference with applying through the mail.  I think the online application may cut a few days, but I am not really sure if anyone knows for certain since mail applications eventually get scanned and put online as well.

Good Luck!

I did my via mail and I felt more comfortable doing that way because I knew what I sent, it scared me doing it via online Incase all my documents didn’t go through.

i have notice no difference. In line same time frame as online people.

It all depends on the workload of local field office. I filed on the 11th( of sept), received info on biometrics online, did a walk in on the 16th, and this morning I received my interview date( online, letter on the way).Louisville, KY is very quick. Online it showed average completion time 12 months but within 2 weeks of filing I received my appointment date for the interview.

good luck

Online was really easy, I had no issues uploading my documents.

The process seems faster online. I had a friend who submitted hers by mail August of 2017 and had her biometrics on March 2018. I applied 8/30/18 and biometrics were on 9/19/18. We both live in the same region and have been green card holders for about the same amount of time.

This is the quickest processing I have ever heard of. Even before the current jump in application numbers I do not recall hearing about anything even close to this.

when looking at the timelines, Louisville KY has an average of 3-4 months( from filing to oath). I’d say I will be in that range once approved and scheduled for the oath. The advantage with the online filing is having letters almost immediately available. Once I got the biometrics invite available online I went for an early walk in, 2 1/2 weeks earlier than original appointment.

Nevertheless I was pleasantly suprised aswell.
