Hi all:  we are preparing a checklist of what to bring to the interviewing embassy for our k1 in Guangzhou.  Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Here is the checklist I got during the interview dayPhotoGrid_1533948028965.thumb.jpg.d9305bbc5ed432ca259b7fdf2ea620e3.jpg

Thanks 🙏

I just noticed that it said “do not put them in file folder or plastic folder”?  What about the photos evidence?  How should we prepare the photos then?

Thank you so much, everyone!

This listing is the same listing for K-1 and spouse visa. So, for you, replace the I-864 with I-134. It is the affidavit of support.

I printed few pictures using legal size paper.

I printed the pictures at Walmart 😞 and they are about 100 photos.  How can I include those 100 photos?

Thank you so much, everyone!

Aaaaa, just put in plastic cover then. What they mean is a file folder and each is documents is separated using plastic folder. It will be difficult for them to bring the documents out one by one. Furthermore, the counter that you will pass all the documents is not big. For the pictures you already printed out at Walmart, just put in one or two plastic cover. No need to separate each picture in each plastic.

Hi all:  we are preparing a checklist of what to bring to the interviewing embassy for our k1 in Guangzhou.  Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Here is some information that I have on the Guangshou Embassy interview process. These details were given to me by someone who just got their visa about 3 months ago so should be current.

From another VJ member who had firsthand knowledge provided this information.

GUZ takes on average 30 days to deliver P3, it is not electronic.

I can tell you that P3 for GUZ is only 4 line items

1. DS-160 Confirmation Page

2. Copy of Passport Personal Page

3. 2 Passport style photos White Background, Well Lit, 50mm x 50mm

4. Return the P3 instructions page

#4 is what prevents people in China from getting a head start, they want the instructions page mailed back with the requested documents.

http://www.ustraveldocs.com/cn/cn-iv-visaapplyinfo.asp#KVisaPetitions

U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou when it is time to schedule an interview. K visa applicants will be notified by the U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou when it is time to schedule an interview.

An individual with an approved petition and a priority date that is current for processing (when applicable) is eligible to apply for an immigrant visa or K nonimmigrant visa. Immigrant visa applicants will be notified by either the National Visa Center (NVC)

And don't forget the help from other members here:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/94-china/

And the Portal here on VJ for processing in China and what to expect

http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=China&cty=Guangzhou

 or the http://www.ustraveldocs.com/cn/cn-iv-visaapplyinfo.asp

Don't waste time while you're waiting for P3, complete DS-160 and print confirmation page. Since you are from China(I provided your website for you below), go to the 2nd link below and click immigrant to register under K1 visa. After you register and enter info it should be clear on how to pay fee, make sure you print Bank deposit slip. just follow directions under Nonimmigrant Visa, but make sure when you register K1 is under Immigrant Visa.

Directions go to http://www.ustraveldocs.com/cn/cn-niv-visaapply.asp

Register(Create Account) https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/?language=English&country=China After you register make sure to choose K1 visa under Immigrant, it wasn't an option for me under non-immigrant.

You don't need 100 pictures. Go through your pictures with the intent of pulling 12-16 pictures of photos where you appear as a couple. Pictures with family members go along way in establishing a bonified relationship. Label the pictures on that back and you can put them in photo sleeves to keep them neat. There is another way which I did. I took that same quantity, 12-16 digital pictures and I posted them on a word document page 4 to a page. Then I printed them using a laser printer (any good print shop will have one) and use those for our interview.
