That's the newer website. That seems to be more detailed and more often shows updates, although it also does tend to be a couple days behind the eGov website (which tends to miss updates for some cases).

They are separate websites and accounts. I have an account on both and check both for updates. Neither is required....it's for your information.

10/24/18: Green card produced notice, 10/25/18: Formal approval, 10/31/18: Green card received

LoL, I also ran into this confusion sometime back. My conclusion: Ignore https://egov.uscis.gov/ account.

Register with the myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov. Here you can find case status (much more detailed than the other site) by adding your cases to your account.

More secure(2 factor auth is a must, I used it with the google auth app on my mobile). Also you can file all online petitions from here.

So, I have shelved my egov.uscis.gov.

Thank you so much Ive registered in that newest site too so there is no confusion in old site they write received date and the updated date which is that they had accepted and in new site they just write when they actually accepted that's it
